Mediclinic International Hospital will continue to be at the forefront of medical research, with a particular focus on advances in fertility treatments. The hospital’s Fertility Research Center will conduct groundbreaking studies on new in vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques, including the use of preimplantation genetic testing to screen embryos for genetic abnormalities. Researchers at the center will also explore innovative methods for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval to improve IVF success rates. Additionally, the hospital will participate in clinical trials for emerging fertility medications and assisted reproductive technologies. By combining state-of-the-art facilities with a team of leading fertility specialists, Mediclinic International will establish itself as a hub of innovative reproductive medicine research aimed at helping more couples achieve their dreams of starting a family.

  • Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after 12 months of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse for women under 35, or 6 months for women over 35.
  • Approximately 1 in 8 couples in the United States struggle with infertility.
  • Common causes of infertility include:
  • Female factors (e.g., ovulation disorders, fallopian tube damage, endometriosis)
  • Male factors (e.g., low sperm count or quality)
  • Unexplained infertility
  • Age is a significant factor, as female fertility declines gradually starting around age 32 and more rapidly after age 35.
  • Lifestyle factors such as obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, and high stress can contribute to infertility.
  • Infertility can be treated through various methods, including medication, surgery, and assisted reproductive technologies like in vitro fertilization (IVF).
  • Early diagnosis and treatment of infertility can significantly improve the chances of achieving a successful pregnancy.
  • Seeking guidance from a reproductive specialist is recommended for couples experiencing difficulty conceiving.
